There are many people who say that you simply can’t get authentic Chinese food in Denver, or just about anywhere outside of China for that matter. The food that is served in this country, like so many other ethnic cuisines, has been Americanized. And that’s not to say it’s bad or wrong, it’s simply something that is done to make food more approachable for the American palate. After all, any restaurant is in business to be successful and must cater to their clientele in order to do this.
So perhaps you can’t find 100% authentic Chinese food in Denver, meaning the exact same dishes made with the exact same ingredients as they are in China. But you most certainly will find a lot of delicious, high quality Chinese food that you will enjoy and keep coming back for. Like what we serve at Uncle Joe’s Hong Kong Bistro, for example. Yes, we are serving authentic Hong Kong favorites but we are also a bistro, so that gives us some room to be creative, cater to the local tastes, and put our own special touch on our cuisine. For example, we use locally sourced Wagyu from 7X Beef and Alamosa bass in several of our dishes. You’re not going to find that in China, but we know that you will love it!
