What do you look for in a happy hour? Do you simply pick the most convenient spot to your work? Or are you willing to take a drive for great specials on food and drinks? Do you pick the one with the longest hours? Or do you judge it strictly from the drink specials? Everyone has their own preferences, but here are some of the biggest factors people consider when they pick a happy hour spot.
Accommodating time frame. A great happy hour is always more than an hour long! Ideally it should last for two to three hours and take place at a time when people can go. Happy hour at one in the afternoon isn’t going to be realistic for most people.
Great value. Perhaps the most important aspect of a great happy hour is great deals on food and drinks. Nobody wants to pay close to regular price, they’re looking for value.
Food specials. Since happy hour takes place after work it’s critical to have special prices on tasty bar snacks to go with those drinks.
Fast service. Happy hour is for a limited time and they are often crowded, so servers and bartenders need to be fast and efficient. If you can’t get someone to take your order it’s hard to take advantage of the great deals.
